Over the course of the last several years our team has been interviewing Eric Lloyd Wright with the intention of sharing his inspiring life stories and family philosophies on Organic Architecture with the world. We also have had the honor of interviewing other close family, friends, apprentices, and associates to Frank Lloyd Wright, offering a personal and inspirational perspective into the Wright family’s legacy of Organic Architecture like never seen before.

ERIC Lloyd wright

For his entire life Eric Lloyd Wright has been quietly but steadily studying, living, and breathing the work of his grandfather with humility and grace. Eric grew up in Hollywood at the home and architecture studio of his father Lloyd Wright. In early high school Eric began working summers at his grandfather’s farm, home and studio called Taliesin in Spring Green, Wisconsin. It was during Eric's first summer stay at Taliesin at the age of 15 that he decided to commit his life to organic architecture. Now, having studied and worked alongside his father and grandfather his entire life, Eric Lloyd Wright has a knowledge and perspective into organic architecture like no one else in the world.

Eric Lloyd Wright is Founder and Principal Architect of Eric Lloyd Wright & Associates. In his time at Taliesin and Taliesin West he worked with his grandfather on such notable projects as the Guggenheim Museum in New York City, Monona Terrace in Madison, Wisconsin and the Tonkens Residence in Cincinnati, Ohio which Eric Lloyd Wright and Associates are currently restoring after Eric himself was the original on-site building manager 62 years ago.

"Go out West and we'll try you out." These were the words Frank Lloyd Wright told Arnold Roy as he was accepted into the Taliesin Fellowship in 1952.  Arnold Roy went from being a Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice to becoming an Associate and now Arnold has spent most of his life working and living at Taliesin West where he was formerly Chief Restorative Architect.
